Quick tips for international teams

Seattle has a reputation for being a rainy city, and there is a chance that it will rain, even in June! There is a 28% chance of rain throughout the month of June, and we will happily paddle in it! The average temperature if 61’F (16’C), ranging from a low of 52’F (11’C) to a high of 70’F (21’C). If you are able to spend a few extra days in our beautiful city, we recommend:

  • The Museum of History And Industry (MOHAI) and the Center For Wooden Boats are also at Lake Union Park

  • The Seattle Space Needle

  • The Chihuly Garden and Glass

  • Pike Place Market

  • Museum of Pop Culture

  • The Seattle Aquarium (recently renovated in 2024)

Also, the Portland Rose Festival (Portland, OR) is the weekend before (June 7, 2025), and the world class Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival (Vancouver, BC, Canada) is the weekend after (June 20-22, 2025). Both are within a 3-4 hour drive from Seattle! We encourage you to attend more than one Pacific Northwest festival if you can!
